Important Information
Sick Days
If your child is ill and won’t be attending school, please call the office at 218-436-2261 and leave a message before school begins for the day or e-mail Ms. Schulz.
Transportation
Please send a written note to me when your child will be not be riding his/her regular bus. Because young children are not always accurate bearers of information, all children who do not have a note will be asked to ride their usual bus route. Please be sure to stress the importance of good behavior on the bus to your child. If your child will not be riding the bus in the morning please call the school office at 218-436-2261 so that they may contact the bus driver. There is an answering machine available from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. at 218-436-3333.
Snacks/Birthdays
We do have snack once a day with milk. If you can contribute to the Kindergarten snack time with a box of crackers, that would be great! When we run low on supplies, I send a yellow note home. Also, if you would like to send a treat with your child on his or her birthday (optional) it must be a store-bought treat such as cookies or cupcakes.
Items from home
Please leave any toys or trinkets at home. We cannot be held responsible for missing or stolen items.
Homework
Homework will be little to none at the beginning of the school year. As the year progresses I may send home homework in the content areas of either reading, math, or sight words.
Library
We have a mobile library this year! Ms. Erica will be coming to our classroom - students may check out one book per week. If the book isn't returned by the next library day, they will not be allowed to check out another book.
Tennis Shoes
Please send tennis shoes with your kiddo for phys. ed class!
Winter Clothing
Students should wear boots, snow pants, heavy coats, mittens/gloves, etc., during the winter months. We send them outside regardless of their attire, so please make sure they are dressed warmly! It is important for the students to play outside and breathe in some fresh air.
Water Bottles
Please send a washable water bottle with your child. These will need to be sent home and washed every day.
Parent-Teacher Conferences
Parent-Teacher conferences will be in November and March.
