Welcome to Tri-County!

Tri-County is a small PreK-12 public school that proudly provides an exemplary education to students in the communities of Halma, Karlstad, Lake Bronson, and Strandquist. Tri-County staffs highly-qualified certified teachers in all departments K-12. With a student body of just over 200 students, every student enjoys a personalized one-on-one education, a small 9:1 student-to-teacher ratio, a large selection of electives and free college-credit classes, and the ability to participate in a wide variety of athletic, art, and academic extra-curricular activities. We are a small school with big school opportunities that strives to enhance each student to their fullest potential!

A Message from the Superintendent

I am Kevin McKeever, and it is my honor to serve as Superintendent of Tri-County School District. With over 25 years of experience in educational leadership, I am thrilled to bring my passion and dedication to this incredible community.

Before joining Tri-County, I spent 23 years as the K-12 Principal at Win-E-Mac School in Erskine, MN, and two years as Superintendent at the Badger School District. Throughout my career, I’ve focused on building strong relationships with students, staff, and families, and I believe that collaboration is the key to creating a thriving educational environment.

As Superintendent, I am committed to guiding Tri-County Schools toward continued success. Together, we will work to ensure excellence in academics, support for the arts and activities, and a strong connection between our schools and the community. Open communication and teamwork will remain at the heart of everything we do.

Thank you for trusting us with your children’s education. I look forward to working with all of you to make Tri-County Schools a place where every student can reach their full potential.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me with any questions, concerns, or ideas. I’m excited to chart this journey with you.
