Congratulations to two of Mrs. Pietruszewski’s art students who represented our school at the Minnesota State Art Show in Wayzata on Saturday, May 9!
Students from across the state begin their journey to the State Art Show by competing at their regional art contest. From there, 1–2 pieces in each category are selected as “Spotlight on the Arts” winners — the equivalent of a Best in Show honor for that category.
Alysha Bothum’s ceramic mosaic, Fragmented Petals, was named the Spotlight winner in the Crafts category.
Jerilyn Pietruszewski’s acrylic painting, Path to the Point, was named as one of two Spotlight winners in the Painting category.
These students had the opportunity to display their artwork alongside other Spotlight winners from across Minnesota at this prestigious event sponsored by the Minnesota State High School League.
