The 2025 Tri-County Spelling Bee began on Friday, January 10th at 1pm in the small gym. Seventeen students in grades 5-8 participated in the bee. After an intense thirteen rounds, we had to pause the bee due to time restraints. The Spelling Bee continued on Monday, January 13th at 1pm with the remaining six students. By round 16, we were down to two students, Kobe Oberg and Christine Hanson. They battled back and forth for another 8 rounds. Christine was crowned the 2025 Tri-County Spelling Bee champion with the winning word of council. Kobe was the runner-up. Christine will represent Tri-County at the Regional Spelling Bee on February 5th at NCTC in Thief River Falls. Congratulations to Christine and all of the Spelling Bee participants.
