Tri County’s Triple A award winners were honored at yesterday’s Section 8A AAA banquet honoring the selections from all 16 schools in section 8A. Seniors Jerilyn Pietruszewski and Landon Turner were selected as this year’s local AAA winners, attending the banquet with their families to honor their accomplishment.
The Triple ‘A’ Award, established in 1988 by the Minnesota State High School League is meant to honor high school seniors who excel in their academics, athletics and the arts. Students who maintain high academic standing while also participating in both league-sponsored fine arts and athletics activities are eligible to apply at the local level.
