HOLD – In Your Room or Area
SECURE – Get Inside. Lock Outside Doors.
LOCKDOWN – Locks, Lights, Out of Sight.
EVACUATE – To a Location
SHELTER – Using a Strategy for Safety
Last week, Principal Englund visited every classroom, Pre-K through 12th grade, to introduce students to the Standard Response Protocol and talk through what each of these five actions means. Students had the opportunity to learn the new language, ask questions, and talk about what they should do in different situations.
Throughout the school year, we’ll continue practicing these actions through our regular safety drills so our students and staff know what to do when it matters most.”
