2025 Triple A Award Winners

Landon Turner is a versatile and dedicated student whose high school career reflects both artistic talent and personal discipline. As a percussionist in the band, he brings rhythm, energy, and precision to every performance. His musical commitment extends beyond the band room as well—Landon is also an active member of the choir, where he serves as a section leader. In that role, he leads by example, offering guidance and confidence to his peers. His participation in solo and ensemble contests further demonstrates his ambition and willingness to refine his craft, showcasing both skill and courage as a performer.

Outside the music department, Landon has spent four years as a member of the golf team. The patience and focus required in golf complement the determination he displays in his musical pursuits, highlighting his well-rounded character. Whether on the green or on the stage, he is known for his steady commitment and positive attitude.

Science Teacher, Krisann Berglund, had this to say about Landon, “Landon stands out among his peers as someone who is honest, dedicated, and easy to rely on. He sets high standards for himself, has a strong work ethic, and naturally steps into leadership roles. He earns excellent grades and is always willing to lend a hand to his classmates.

As a percussionist in the band, Landon often comes to school early to get in extra practice on the drum set. He has even upgraded his own equipment, which shows just how committed he is to being the best drummer he can be.”

Looking ahead, Landon plans to continue building a strong future by pursuing a welding certification at Northland Community and Technical College. His choice reflects a desire to develop practical, hands-on expertise and to enter a field where precision and creativity intersect. With his proven work ethic and diverse accomplishments, Landon Turner is well-prepared to succeed in the next chapter of his educational and professional journey.


Jerilyn Peitruszewski is a standout student whose dedication and talent shine across the arts, athletics, and academics. As a committed member of the school band, she brings energy and teamwork to every performance, while her creativity is evident in her representation of the school at the Visual Arts Contest.

Athletically, Jerilyn has made a strong impact as well. In volleyball, she earned Academic All-State honors, demonstrating her ability to succeed both on the court and in the classroom. She is also a key member of the basketball team, where she serves as a captain and leads with determination and positivity.

Science teacher, Krisann Berglund, had this to say about Jeri, “Jerilyn is an excellent student because she is tenacious about completing assignments and projects of high quality. She has the ability to think “outside the box” and to make real-life connections to what she is learning. This ability to pull ideas together and make connections is a strength that will help her transition from school to career.

In her artwork and as a band member, Jerilyn does exceptional work. She has continued to refine her skills in painting. She earned a Superior rating at the high school art competition. Jerilyn plays saxophone and is first chair. As a band member, she is a leader that can be trusted to be prepared for rehearsal and ready for all performances.”

Looking ahead, Jerilyn plans to attend the University of Minnesota at Crookston to study animal sciences. Her future goals reflect her compassion, curiosity, and drive to make a meaningful difference. Across all her pursuits, Jerilyn exemplifies hard work, leadership, and a commitment to excellence.
