Instrumental Music & Industrial Arts |Mr. Brad Thompson
I grew up 1/2 mile East of Donaldson on the family farm. My K-12 education all took place at Kennedy Public School in Kennedy, Minnesota and I graduated from there in 1988. Following graduation, I attended the University of North Dakota and graduated with a music education degree emphasizing instrumental and classroom music. After teaching in Hot Springs, SD for eight years, I applied, and was accepted, for the position I currently hold.
For the 2015-16 school year, I will be teaching band for grades 5-12 which includes weekly lessons for 5th and 6th grade students, a 5th/6th grade beginning band, lessons for high school students, and 7-12th grade concert band. In addition to teaching instrumental music, I will be teaching Industrial Technology classes in grades 7-12. I will be teaching a Construction course for 12th grade, Power Mechanics and Welding for 11th grade, 9th grade Drafting (1st semester), and 7th grade shop (2nd semester). I am excited to be able to work with students in both music and industrial technology!
