Special Education: High School | Mrs. Jennifer Klegstad
Hello and welcome to my webpage! I have been teaching students with learning disabilities for 20 years. The last 8 years being back here at my very own high school I graduated from! I have a degree in Learning Disabilities and Elementary Education from Moorhead State University. I really strive to create a classroom where students feel welcome, comfortable and safe no matter what their disability or difference. In the high school setting I focus on teaching coping strategies and life skills that these students can use in the world after graduation. Check back for links for parents and students in the near future!
I can't say enough good things about Tri County, Karlstad! Students here are treated to low student- to -teacher ratios with so much individualized attention! It is a fun place to learn and work!

I am very pleased to announce that I am now coaching a Special Olympics Team here at Tri County School. We have 4 athletes that have signed up and will compete in bowling, swimming and track and field during the year. I am looking forward to using this as a chance for students to socialize, exercise and have fun all at the same time! I am also hoping that in the near future some of the National Honor Society Students that I am advisor for will join us in the unified games where they team up with special olympians for competitions.
